Cosmos Natural Certified, Cruelty Free, Natural Ingredients, Paraben Free, Vegan

Offer yourself a moment of oriental relaxation, with this product used in the Hammam ritual!

Najel Aleppo black soap is totally natural and made in the NAJJAR Laboratory using noble organic virgin olive oils and laurel berries of which genuine Aleppo soap is made.

This totally natural soap paste is a grainless cleansing exfoliant. Gentle and purifying, it does not lather and is suitable for all skin types.

Recommended for weekly use.

Advantage: the antiseptic and refreshing power of its natural fragrance based on essential oil of Eucalyptus Globulus. Najel has chosen to combine it with black soap for a moment of purifying relaxation. Scrub your body every week with this complete care product for a soft, healthy skin.

Black soap is used with a black glove rubbing energetically with circular movements, or with a loofah glove for an exfoliating massage.

Useful tip: although the aim of a scrub and an exfoliant is to eliminate dead cells from the skin to encourage cell renewal, there is a certain difference that makes the two products complementary, thus providing a complete treatment. It’s preferable to start with a scrub to cleanse the outer layers of the epidermis and prepare the skin for exfoliation which cleans it deep down, eliminating excess sebum from the pores and refining the grain of the skin.

  • First of all, relax in a hot bath to open the pores of the skin to enhance the effect of the soap.
  • Apply the paste to the skin, gently massage and leave on for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Rinse and then vigorously rub your body with the black  Kessa Glove by Najel.
  • Rinse again thereafter to reveal perfectly clean and soft skin.
  • Follow with a body oil to provide the skin with optimum protection.

"Suitable for all skin types, Aleppo black soap should be used once a week. Apply the soap paste to the whole body, leave for 5 to 10 minutes then use a kessa glove for a vigorous exfoliation or a loofah glove for a gentler exfoliation.

For a real Hammam-style treatment, here are the secrets of a traditional exfoliation, to be carried out once a week:
Relax in a hot bath to dilate the pores of the skin and allow the black soap to have its full effect. Apply the black soap to the whole body and leave for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water then massage vigorously with a black glove (kessa), covering the whole body with broad movements. Rinse again with cold water. Your skin is perfectly clean and soft, rid of all its deep-down impurities. Finally, apply Argan oil to your body to nourish and protect your skin."

How is Aleppo Soap made?

Aleppo soap is made of olive oil and bay laurel oil which gives it its emerald green colour. Once the paste Is cut, the soap is dried for a minimum of 9 months. During this time, the soap oxidizes at the surfaces and develops a yellow/brown colour. You can visit our blog of full description on how Aleppo soaps are made.

Is Najel Vegan?

Yes! All of Najel products are vegan friendly and 100% cruelty free.

How do I pick the right Aleppo soap for my skin type?

For daily use of Aleppo soap for oily or normal to combination skin, we recommend using a soap with a low percentage of bay laurel oil (BLO). For example, Najel’s 100% Olive Soap, 5% BLO or 12% BLO which makes it suitable to use for the whole family.
An Aleppo soap with a high percentage of bay laurel oil (30% and above) is more suitable for dry, sensitive, and reactive skins.
