Are Codex products safe during pregnancy?

All of Codex products undergo rigorous safety testing, but as everyone’s experiences with pregnancy are different, we recommend consulting with your physician before the use of any new product.

Are the products organic?

Codex products are certified organic but that doesn’t technically mean they are composed of 100% organic ingredients. It’s actually not possible to classify a product that contains water as 100% organic, since water cannot be certified organic. Also, salts and clays cannot be certified organic. Codex are compliant to COSMOS Standards, and often exceed requirements in some products.  For example, Codex Facial Oil contains 99.8% organic ingredients.

Are the products vegan?

Yes, Codex products are vegan. Codex use no ingredients that are derived from animals such as beeswax, honey, milk etc. Codex products are certified vegan by the Vegan Association.

Are Codex products gluten free?

Yes! Codex products are Certified Organic and Gluten free.

Do Codex products contain soy or dairy?

Codex products do not contain any soy or dairy.

How do you use Skin Superfood?

Superfood is a truly multifunctional product. We recommend using it from everything from your daily moisturizer when your skin is very dry, your winter moisturizer, your night cream, your after sun cream, a hand cream for dry and chapped hands or anywhere that your skin is dry and dehydrated. It’s patented blend of herbal extracts, BiaComplex, is clinically proven to hydrate and smooth dry skin.

Do the products contain SPF?

No, currently Codex products do not offer sun protection. For now, we recommend you apply your SPF a few minutes after our moisturizer and practice safe sun protection behaviours like wearing a hat and keeping out of strong sun.

Where are Codex products made?

Codex BIA products are made in Ireland.

What are the top two products?

Skin Super food is Codex hero product, and we recommend that everyone should have one! Exfoliating Wash is always a good product for someone new to the brand to try as people are more likely to try a cleansing product from a new to them range. Codex Discovery Kit is very popular to try the brand before committing to larger sized products.
